Day 7 - More Swimming than Eating

Today I was off to camp to practice swimming, so I needed a lot of fuel for breakfast. A lot of the same old fuel. But I'm not sick of it yet, this cider, bread and butter, hard-boiled egg, and vanilla yogurt with blueberries was just as delicious as every other morning I've had it. What can I say? I'm a creature of habit when it comes to breakfast.

After some downtime at camp...

I swam around this island twice:

for a total distance of 1 mile-ish.

I was hungry when I finished and enjoyed an apple, sunflower seeds, and the most delicious cheese from Mountain View Dairy Farms in Richfield Springs. I believe the cheese I've been eating is their Emmenthaler, it's available through the Utica Foodshed and Tom's Natural Foods in Clinton.

While delicious, this lunch was not enough to keep my hunger at bay after such an epic swim. By the time we left camp I had that sleepy, light-headed hunger thing going on where I could only respond to questions and comments with one word answers. Luckily I had half a liter of Dari-Del milk in the cooler, which I enjoyed while we stopped to see the bridge over the Black River in Forestport.

Upon returning from camp it was decided that we would go to a movie; yesterday's pizza was polished off and we were on our way to Dinner for Schmucks. For me, movies are like wine - on a scale of one to ten anything above 3 is worth my time. Dinner for Schmucks: 6.5.
